COURSE DESCRIPTION
Module 6 covers best practices for documenting Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCHM) in clinical records. A language compliant with FDA guidelines for communicating TCHM actions to patients is introduced. Learn about cGMP requirements, including manufacturing and dispensing standards. Learn safe dosing guidelines for various TCHM preparations. Recognition of liver and kidney damage, allergy risk, and other safety concerns will be discussed in detail. Contraindications and cautions for TCHM will be reinforced. Adverse event identification, prevention, investigation, mitigation, and reporting guidelines will be demonstrated through SOAP notes and other relevant documentation. Templates for the associated forms and policies will be reviewed.
