COURSE DESCRIPTION
Decrease your claim denial rate! Module 7 emphasizes professional judgment in describing patients’ clinical presentations using standard terminology, as outlined in the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines and in ICD-11 Chapter 26, Traditional Medicine (TM1), for TCM and non-TCM acupuncture styles. Exercise critical-thinking competencies in establishing medically necessary and symptomatic diagnoses in accordance with specificity, laterality, and sequencing rules for conventional and traditional medicine throughout the treatment course. The SOAP note case studies will demonstrate ICD-10 diagnosis and ICD-11 Ch. 26 (TM1) pattern differentiation formulation and documentation rules for multiple comorbidities diagnoses in an EHR.
